Footy Finals

Hi Everyone,

In this post I explain how the Aussie Rules Finals system plays out. This will be needed especially for the large number of overseas readers I am so lucky to attract.

We have 18 teams in our competition, from across the country and the finals includes the top eight teams.

It is a hotly contested competition and it sees many Australians becoming extremely passionate supporters throughout the season, but even more if your team is involved in the finals!!

My team, Richmond has won two of the past three Grand Finals (the ultimate prize) and has just been placed into favouritism for the Grand Final again this year.

This of course can change from week to week, but after 37 years of delivering heartbreak, it's great to see our team doing well!! You might pick up some hints that I'm a passionate Richmond supporter!!

This clip shows how the finals system works, and can be adapted to be used in classes whenever you want to look at probability and chance.

I'd love to hear how you go with it, and also how you have adapted it to be used in different ways in your classrooms.

Cheers!
