Highest, Lowest, Nearest

Last week we had been doing some testing in class, and it soon became quite clear that reading numbers was a challenge for a number of the kids.

So, how to address this without making it a chore for them?

After being out of the classroom for the past ten years, it gave me the opportunity to resurrect a number of tried and true games and activities that have served me well in the past, and are still relevant now.

This one has always been a bit of fun when used in the classroom, and can be easily adapted to suit different grade levels.
