Tape Measure Fun

Last week in class an activity was planned using tape measures.

I immediately saw this a great learning opportunity...Why not make our own tape measures????

The lesson went so well, kids all over the floor cutting and measuring, and most importantly, talking about what they were doing.

Seeing kids helping each other and comparing what they were producing was just great to see and hear.

Already we have been able to use these measuring tapes in other curriculum areas, showing the real value of the activity.
